Terms of Use

Last updated October 07, 2026

Diff Broker is in beta. Features may change, break or be removed, data may be lost, and this document may change as the product develops. Please keep that in mind when you rely on it.

These terms govern your use of Diff Broker (diff.broker), operated by Iurii Sidorov (Autónomo), Girona, Spain ("we"). By signing in or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Diff Broker.

Not affiliated with GitHub

Diff Broker is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by GitHub, Inc., Microsoft, the Git project, Anthropic, OpenAI or any other company whose names or trademarks appear on this site. Git, GitHub, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and other names are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe what Diff Broker works with.

The service

Diff Broker signs you in with your GitHub account, syncs the pull requests that involve you, shows them with their review and check state, and, when you ask, takes actions on GitHub on your behalf. It can also hand work to an AI coding agent that runs on your own machine through the optional companion. Diff Broker is free today. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you in advance, and your use of paid features will then be subject to additional terms.

Beta service

Diff Broker is in beta. It is still being built and tested, so features can change, stop working or be removed without notice, and bugs, including ones that affect actions taken on GitHub on your behalf or the data we keep for you, are possible. Do not rely on it as your only way of tracking or merging work that matters, check on GitHub when something looks wrong, and tell us what breaks.

Your account and GitHub

  • You need a GitHub account and must follow GitHub's Terms of Service.
  • You are responsible for your account, your tokens and everything done with them. Keep tokens secret and revoke any you no longer use.
  • You may only access repositories and pull requests you are permitted to access. Diff Broker acts with your own GitHub permissions and cannot exceed them.

Actions taken for you

When you click a button, or approve a request made by your own tools or agent, Diff Broker performs that action on GitHub as you (for example approving, commenting, merging, labelling or re-running checks). You are responsible for those actions as if you had taken them on GitHub directly. Always check what you approve; a merge or approval can be difficult or impossible to undo.

AI agents and generated content

Explanations, quizzes, reviews, fixes and other output produced by an AI agent can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are aids for your own judgement, not a substitute for it. Agents run on your machine under your own account with the provider, and their cost, behaviour and output are your responsibility. Review anything an agent writes before you rely on it, publish it or merge it.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Diff Broker. In particular, do not break the law, attempt to access other people's data, probe or disrupt the service, bypass rate limits or security controls, resell access, or use the service to send spam or abuse GitHub or other users. We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules or puts the service or others at risk.

Your content

Your code, pull requests and comments stay yours (or your organization's, or GitHub's, as applicable). You give us only the permission needed to fetch, store, process and display them to you in order to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our software

Diff Broker's software and design belong to us or our licensors. The companion gem is published under its own open-source licence, which governs it.

Availability and changes

Diff Broker is provided as it is while we build it. It may change, be interrupted or be discontinued, and we do not promise any particular uptime. We may update these terms; if the change is significant we will say so in the product or by email, and continuing to use Diff Broker afterwards means you accept the new terms.

No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, Diff Broker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, code, or business, arising from your use of Diff Broker, including actions taken on GitHub or by an AI agent. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which is zero while the service is free). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by disconnecting GitHub and deleting your account in settings. We may suspend or end the service or your access as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and liability limits) survive termination.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Spanish law and subject to the courts of Girona, Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply. Questions: gitbroker@yurisidorov.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
